Himalayan Goji Juice:
Goji Secrets They Don't Want Us to Tell You

Polysaccharide Claims

After all the talk Myles gave us about polysaccharides (a previous page), it got us thinking.

Myles, a high level distributor, had insisted that goji polysaccharides couldn't possibly survive heat. But we now knew that Himalayan Goji Juice is heat processed.

We began to wonder: are the polysaccharides really in the juice as they say?

We decided to look more into FreeLife's polysaccharide claims.

Once again we logged on to FreeLife's site at gojiexpress.com and started snooping around. We wanted to see what their claims actually are.

It didn't take us long to find something interesting:

Say WHAT?

The first thing that jumped out at us was this:

False Himalayan Goji Juice polysaccharides claim

"Polysaccharides are unique to goji"?

Of course they're not. Polysaccharides are found in all fruits and foods. Even wood has polysaccharides. How could FreeLife put this statement on their site?

Without a biochemistry background, a consumer (who knows nothing about polysaccharides) could wrongly believe that "polysaccharides are unique to goji." This could lead them to the conclusion that he or she needs to purchase goji juice to get a dose of polysaccharides.

The truth is, polysaccharides are not unique to goji. There are many unique polysaccharides in many different foods which scientists have only begun to learn about.

Who says you "need" unique "Master Molecules"?

Read these statements (in yellow):

We find the above statements (in yellow) simply outrageous.

Here their marketing message clearly tells you that your body needs to replenish unique goji "Master Molecule" polysaccharides on a daily basis for optimal health and longevity.

This implies to us that if we don't replenish unique goji polysaccharides, we will not achieve "optimal health and longevity."

Of course, people around the world enjoy what we would consider optimal health and longevity - people who have never heard of goji juice. Many people promote their health and longevity through various means, including healthy diet, proper exercise, and holistic lifestyle.

The simple truth is: There is nothing (including polysaccharides) unique in goji juice that your body requires for what we would call "optimal health and longevity."
