Himalayan Goji Juice:
Goji Secrets They Don't Want Us to Tell You

Multi-Level Fever

We at breathe have reservations about FreeLife's multi-level marketing model.

We ourselves have personally observed what happens when people turn family and friends into customers.

Relations can become strained when dear ones are turned into revenue sources. Those who are close feel pressure to purchase products from their loved ones, even when they don't really want the product. At first they do not want to dampen the enthusiasm of the budding salesperson. But when there is pressure to continue purchasing the product over the long run, feelings can become suppressed or hurt and alienation can result.

The allure of money can change people. It can create a fever which seeks to transform personal relationships into opportunities for profit. We would strongly caution any multi-level marketing distributor about making a loved one a customer.

To us, the multi-level approach lacks a certain dignity and grace. It permits an inexpensive bottle of juice to sell for $50 because multi-levels of distributors must receive their "cut" of the sales. (Distributors can get goji juice at a discount from retail prices.) Regular folks must now learn to rationalize their high prices in sometimes awkward ways. They may feel guilty because they know the truth for the high prices: there are just too many people in the upline that need their piece of the action. Truly respectable products, in our opinion, should not be sold in this way.

"Criticisms have been raised against MLM programs for being cult-like in nature. Many MLM programs feature intense motivational programs, which can be hard to distinguish from cult propaganda." Wikipedia

It seems people everywhere are leery of the multi-level marketing approach. Maybe there are some good reasons for that.

We do not disqualify a person who chooses the multi-level marketing approach. Perhaps it is for some. We would never presume to tell someone how to live their life. It is just not a choice we we would endorse.

We feel that every multi-level marketing company needs to accept more responsibility to properly train its sales force and be more accountable for all the claims made. We as consumers have experienced where FreeLife distributors gave us gross misinformation about such simple product basics as heat processing, preservatives, and juice content.

It took us only five minutes of googling to discover Himalayan Goji Juice sites that erroneously promote the juice as unheated.

We think FreeLife's compliance team maybe needs to put in a little overtime.
